It has been a couple of months since my last slot review by the studio, the most recent was for the game titled ‘Apollo Pays’. Chocolates seems to be the sequel to ‘Donuts‘, which was originally released 4th July 2018 by Big Time Gaming. Sticking with the sweet treats theme we have new artwork and visuals for 2020. Instead of the American diner, we are taken to a beautiful hilly landscape. With mountains, trees, and other small details. Such as vibrant flowers, blue skies, and a wooden building. I love the unique art style from the studio and the change of scenery. The wooden building seems to be a cuckoo clock. I am, glad the studio is still surprising us with new ideas outside the box.

Chocolates Pay Table & Symbols
There are 13 symbols in total, this includes 6 low paying symbols. These are represented by 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by green, blue, red, and purple chocolates. In addition to these regular symbols are a wild symbol, golden ticket wilds boxes of chocolates, and a scatter symbol. The highest paying symbol is the purple chocolate premium, which pays 1x for 4 across all reels. Regular wilds and golden ticket wilds substitute for all symbols except scatters and chocolate boxes. Wilds only appear on reels 2 and 4. Wins are multiplied by x6 for each golden ticket wild. Boxes open to reveal up to 4 chocolate premium symbols, all boxes within the same spin will reveal the same chocolate symbol.

Landing 3 or more scatter symbols during one base game spin will trigger the ‘Free Spins‘ feature. 3 Scatters Award = 7 Free Spins and 4 Scatters Awards = 10 Free Spins. During spins all boxes become sticky boxes, one or more triggering scatters turn into sticky boxes. Each reel with 4 sticky boxes will award an additional 3 free spins.

Overall, I think Big Time Gaming has done a fantastic job once again with their latest slot release. With similarities to the original Donuts and new mechanics to keep things interesting.
