Curse Of The Werewolf Megaways Slot Review – Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play is on a roll already this month, with slot announcements and releases. I have recently reviewed ‘Peaky Blinder‘, which was a surprising theme pick and shocking license the studio has acquired. The slot has a big range of exciting features and fun gameplay. I have also been reviewing older studio releases, to look back at forgotten games. Now we have another slot announcement, with the infamous Megaways tool. This new slot is titled ‘Curse Of The Werewolf Megaways‘, set to release September 3rd across all sites.

This slot is set in an old European town, with stone roads and old buildings. There are animations of clouds in the sky and fog to create a mysterious environment. Premium symbols are different characters and the mysterious werewolf. This theme has been seen before, but not with this unique style of artwork. The studio has done a fantastic job with the amount of detail and I personally love the visual aspect.

Curse Of The Werewolf Megaways has a setup of 6 reels by 6 rows, this includes up to 46,656 Megaways. This game is high variance with a set RTP of 96.5% and max win capped at 40,976x. You can bet from £0.10 – £100.

There are 13 symbols in total, this includes 5 low paying symbols. These are represented by 10, J, Q, K and A. There are also 5 premium symbols, these are represented by 4 character symbols and the werewolf. In additon to these regular symbols is a wild symbol, werewolf mystery symbol and bonus scatter. The highest paying symbol is the werewolf premium, which pays 10x for 6 across a pay line. Wilds substitute for all symbols except bonus scatters and mystery symbols. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Mystery symbols appear on all reels, only in the base game. All mystery symbols will transform into the same paying symbol.

Curse Of The Werewolf Megaways Features

Randomly during any base game spin, a ‘Super Spin‘ can trigger with stacks of high paying symbols. Another random trigger is a ‘Guaranteed Win’ spin which triggers a big win on multiple ways.

Landing 3 or more bonus scatters during one spin will trigger the ‘Free Spins’ feature. 3 Scatters Awards = 8 Free Spins, 4 Scatters Award = 10 Free Spins, 5 Scatters Award = 12 Free Spins and 6 Scatters Award = 15 Free Spins. There is a progressive feature during spins, the attacking werewolf symbol substitutes for all werewolf premiums. When this symbol lands it will remove 1 – 5 lives from one of the character symbols. If 5 lives are removed from one character, it is replaced with werewolf premiums. Also, one extra free spin is awarded. Landing 2 or more scatter symbols during spins will award more spins. 2 Scatters Awards = 2 extra spins, 3 Scatters Awards = 3 extra spins, 4 Scatters Awards = 4 extra spins, 5 Scatters Awards = 5 extra spins and 6 Scatters Awards = 10 extra spins.

The Free Spins feature can be bought for 100x your chosen stake, This will trigger 3 – 6 scatters on the inital trigger. Not available for UK players.

Conclusion

Overall, I think Pragmatic Play has done a fantastic job creating this new slot release. Visuals are well made with great detail, along with exciting gameplay. Along with high variance, thanks to the infamous Megaways and max win capped at 40,00x. Be sure to try out the game on release. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive casino offers.
