Doom Of Egypt Slot Review – Play’n Go

It is coming to the end of 2019. It has been a big year for the casino industry and all the providers part of it. The list of slot releases Is astonishing and new providers have come to light. Now with 2020 coming close, providers are releasing the remainder of their games set for 2019. This includes a Christmas game to finish the year for some studios or something more unique to say goodbye to a great year.

Play’n Go announced their list of games to end 2019, this includes multiple releases for the last two months. They have already announced a release date of November 21st for their Christmas game ‘Xmas Magic’. Which for a festive release is very disappointing. But now we have a sequel that is exclusive to one casino. This game is titled ‘Doom Of Egypt’, which is available to play now exclusively on Unibet.

Doom Of Egypt is a sequel to the 2018 game release ‘Legacy Of Egypt’, also by Play’n Go. Visually the games look very similar. There is even reused artwork from the original, which is strange as it is an exclusive sequel. Both have an ancient Egypt theme, which seems to be overused now in the casino industry and personally bores me now.

The background is very dark, set in a temple. The artwork is very basic and there are not many differences between the two games. Which makes the sequel seem rushed. Very disappointed with the artwork and visuals. This sequel could have been so much more for the fans.

Doom Of Egypt has a classic setup of 5 reels by 3 rows, this includes 10 pay lines. This game is medium variance due to the max win capped at 5,000x and set RTP of 96.21%. You can bet from £0.10-£50.

Doom Of Egypt Slot Review Paytable & Symbols

This game has 10 symbols in total, this includes 5 low paying symbols. These are represented by 10, J, Q, K, And A. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by three Egyptian kings and Anubis. There is also a scarab scatter symbol which is also a wild. This symbol will substitute for all paying symbols. The highest paying symbol is Anubis and the wild. Both of these symbols pay 5,000x for 5 across a pay line.

Doom Of Egypt Slot Review Features

Central to this game is the free spins feature, this is activated by landing 3 or more scatter symbols. This will award 10 free spins, a special expanding symbol is randomly selected before these spins start. If it is a low paying symbol, you will need 3 or more for expansion to happen. If the symbol is a premium, you will need two or more to land for expansion. The whole feature is pretty much Book Of Dead’s, which is disappointing. However, there is great volatility on offer.

Overall, this game shows nothing new and plays just like Book Of Dead. Just with a different theme and as an apparent sequel. The only positive is the max win at 5,000x. It is a shame nothing creative was made for an exciting sequel. Be sure to try the game for yourself and check out our exclusive casino offers.
