I love the concept of this game, and Pragmatic Play has tried to spice up the art style due to the theme pick. The reel set shows the ancient Egyptian theme well, with hieroglyphics behind each symbol. Premium symbols are golden scarab beetles, the eye of Horus and many more. Low-paying symbols also possess hieroglyphics with different vibrant colours. For animations, there is a lot to spot. The bubbles are rising in the river, the tombs floating and the treasures shining, which are the easiest to spot.
Fish Eye has a classic setup of 5 reels by 3 rows; this includes 10 set pay lines. This slot is high variance with a set RTP of 96.07% and a max win capped at 10,000x. You can bet from £0.10 to £50.
Fish Eye Symbols & Pay Table
There are 13 symbols in total; this includes 5 low-paying symbols. These are represented by 10, J, Q, K and A. There are also 4 premium symbols, which are represented by the Eye Of Horus, Leopard statues, Birds and Scarab Beetles. In addition to these regular symbols is a Scatter symbol, Fish Money symbol, Collector symbol and Remover symbol. The highest paying symbol is the Scarab Beetle premium, which pays 200x for 5 across a pay line.
Fish Eye Features & Mechanics
Fish Money symbols take a random money value. Possible base game values are between 0.1x to 100x. Possible values in the Free Spins feature are between 2x to 1,000x.
There is an Ante Bet option available. Increasing your bet by 50% will increase the chance of the Free Spins feature triggering.
Landing 3 or more scatter symbols during a base game spin will trigger the Free Spins feature. 3, 4 or 5 scatters will award 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins. This feature can also be purchased for 100x your chosen stake if available in your country. During spins, the Collector & Remover symbol can land. The Collector symbol collects the values of all Fish Money symbols on the reel set. These Fish Money symbols are collected into a meter; every 4th Collector symbol that hits will award 10 additional spins.
The Remover symbol removes the lowest value currently possible for Fish Money symbols. The removed value cannot appear during the remaining Free Spins. Landing a Remover symbol will award 1 additional Free Spin, and landing 2 Remover symbols on the same spin will award 3 additional Free Spins.
Randomly when there are Collector symbols on the reel set but no Fish symbols. At the end of a Free Spin, Fish Money symbols can appear in random positions.
Conclusion
Overall, this slot is a fun twist on the well-loved fishing concept and uses a popular theme we are all familiar with within the casino community. It is interesting seeing these two aspects combined, but Pragmatic Play has done a good job with this creation. I can see that the provider has changed its art style in hopes this game will stand out more in the market. Most likely due to the high number of Ancient Egyptian releases in the market and released by the studio previously.
