Fish Tales has always been one of our most recognisable and commercially successful series, so when we began conceptualising Colossal Catch: Link & Loot, we knew we had to honour the what that players love, vibrant fishing theme visuals, engaging bonus rounds, and a sense of light-hearted adventure.
The idea originated from analysing player data and feedback across previous Fish Tales titles. We saw strong retention around dynamic feature cycles and collectible-style mechanics, which inspired us to build a more event-driven experience. With Link & Loot, we wanted to evolve the franchise by stepping away from the previous feature set and introducing the Link & Loot feature, something that still kept the build up and anticipation high inside the bonuses.
Preserving the franchise’s visual identity and playful tone was essential, but we also moved to a new tropical environment whilst still keeping key aspects such as our WILD fishermen. It’s about blending familiarity with novelty, giving returning players something new to master.
