There are 10 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by J, Q, K, and A. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by Retiarius, Murmillio, Provocator, and Scissor gladiators. Each has a diverse coloured background and different armor. There is also the gate scatter symbol and tiger wild. The highest paying symbol is the wild, this symbol will award you 25x for 5 across a pay line. Scatters only appear on reels 1, 3, and 5. Wilds substitute for all symbols except scatters.

This slot is jam-packed with features so let’s start with the 5 elements in the base game. In the base game, you will benefit from ‘Primus Mystery,’ 5 different randomly triggered features.

Spear Attack = 3-6 Spears are thrown at the reel set and transform some to wilds.
Sword Attack = First reel is duplicated 2-4 times.
Net Attack = A gladiator sticks and a respin is awarded.
Fame = A gladiator is paid out according to the battle paytable.
Enraged = Two full reel mega wilds are added.

Central to this slot is the ‘Enter The Arena Battle‘ feature, this is activated when you land 3 scatter symbols but on reels 1,3 and 5. You will then proceed to pick one of two champions displayed. These are named ‘Spartacus‘ And ‘Amazonia.’ Whichever you pick, their symbol will replace the scatter symbol for this feature. Spartacus has a unique feature of a retrigger, and Amazonia offers a 20x-100x bet multiplier. These rewards are given if you win the battle.

During these free spins, premium symbol wins will be awarded and added to the battle meter located above the reels. This reel collected for the ‘Battle Prize,’ When a scatter symbol lands, there will be an attack on some gladiator symbols and will result in them being destroyed. However, if 2 scatters land during the same free spin 2 groups are attacked with a 2x multiplier active for the Battle Prize. Then if 3 scatters land during the same free spin three groups attacked and x3 multiplier. This feature will end when 12 opponents are in battle.
