Ghost Glyph Slot Review – Quickspin

Quickspin has returned with another brand new slot announcement, with the studio releasing one game per month. Compared to multiple game releases per month, more time is spent perfecting one every 4 weeks. I recently reviewed ‘Artemis Vs Medusa‘, which entertains with an exciting free spins feature. Next is something more spooky from Quickspin, just in time for Halloween. This slot is titled ‘Ghost Glyph‘,available to play now.

Ghost Glyph Slot Review Quickspin Visuals Base Game Art Work Game Play

As stated in the game title this slot is based around ghosts, with the release date over a month away from Halloween. With 4 different coloured ghosts who appear as different features. The slot background is set at night in what looks to be a graveyard, with lanterns and general scenery. The artwork is simplistic and symbols have the most detail. I personally love the visual aspect of this slot.

Ghost Glyph has a setup of 7 reels by 7 rows, this includes cluster pays of 5 matching symbols or more. This slot is medium variance with a set RTP of 96.18% and max win capped at 2,260x. You can bet from £0.20 – £100.

Ghost Glyph Slot Review Symbols & Pay Table

There are 10 symbols in total, including 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by coins with cobwebs, skulls, moons and stars. There are also 3 premium symbols, these are represented by blue, red and green gems. In additon to these regular symbols is a regular wild, ghost glyph and moving wild. Wilds substitute for all symbols. The highest paying symbols are gem premiums, which pay 210x – 840x for clusters of 15 or more matching symbols. Ghost Glyph symbols act as a wild and substitute for all symbols.

There is a tumble mechanic active for this slot, any symbols part of winning clusters are removed. Empty positions are filled with new falling symbols. Tumbling ends when there are no new winning clusters.

Ghost Glyph Slot Review Features

If the blue urn is activated all unused ghost glyphs are turned into wilds whist no new ghost glpyhs appear on the tumble sequence.

Before each spin 5 ghost urns are randomly selected and displayed above the grid. The last one is always a blue urn. When no winning tumbles occur any ghost urns are awarded in the order they were triggered. There are 4 different coloured ghost urns, each with different mini features. These are;

  • Yellow Ghost Urn – 4 – 10 wilds randomly placed
  • Green Ghost Urn – One low paying symbol type and all instances turned into another low paying symbol.
  • Red Ghost Urn – One low paying symbol and all instances removed from the grid.
  • Blue Ghost Urn – Activated the bonus game or adds 3 spins to the bonus game.

When the bonus game is activated 8 free spins are awarded, activated when all urns have been activated. During spins, every tumble sequence increases the gauge on the ‘Paranormality Meter‘. 8 tumbles are required to fill this meter, once filled it levels up and unlocks the ‘Massive Wild‘ feature. The meter will then reset.

The ‘Massive Wild‘ feature is then activated at the end of the last free spin if the meter has reached level 1 or higher. Massive wilds of the size 2×2 at level 1 or 3×3 at any higher levels. At level 1 or 2 massive wilds are removed when part of a win. At level 3 or higher, massive wilds move position during each tumble sequence.

Conclusion

Overall, I think Quickspin has done a fantastic job creating this new slot. I think an October release date would be more suited, due to the spooky ghost theme. Features create a fun exciting experience for players. Be sure to try the slot for yourself on release. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive casino offers.
