Legend Of The Ice Dragon Slot Review – Play’n Go

It has been over a week since my last Play’n Go slot review, the last was for the game titled ‘Tales Of Asgard Loki’s Fortune’. Which has a max win capped at 20,000x and a Free Spins feature with additional wilds & mystery symbols. Today we are learning all about ‘Legend Of The Ice Dragon’, set to release November 4th across all sites.

This slot has an interesting theme choice, based on an Ice Dragon only a few have seen for themselves and no mortal has been able to tame. The game background artwork is set in a snowy mountainous landscape, with the Ice dragon on the right side of the reel set. Low-paying symbols are represented by the standard card suits. Premium symbols are represented by different coloured gems, crowns and dragon eyes.

Legend Of The Ice Dragon has a setup of 7 reels by 7 rows, this includes cluster pays of 5 or more matching symbols. This slot is high variance with a set RTP of 96.29% and a max win capped at 6,000x. You can bet from £0.20 – £100.

There are 9 symbols in total, this includes 4 low-paying symbols. These are represented by clubs, spades, hearts, and diamonds. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by green gems, blue gems, purple gem crowns, and a red dragon eye. In addition to these regular symbols is a treasure chest wild, which substitutes for all symbols. The highest paying symbol is the red dragon eye premium, which pays 3x – 500x for a cluster of 5 – 30+. This will appears during the Dragon Blast feature only.

Legend Of The Ice Dragon Features

Wild symbols create an ‘Ice Frame’ when they land on the grid and at the end of each cascade. When a wild lands on an Ice Frame the multiplier is increased by 8x. The highest multiplier is used for each winning cluster. All Ice Frames multipliers remain inactive until the Dragon Blast feature is triggered.

There are 3 ‘Freezing Features’ which are triggered on non-winning rounds. These are;

Hailstorm – One symbol type is chosen randomly on the grid. 3 of the chosen symbols will each have 5 random symbols adjacent to them, plus the chosen symbol itself transformed into wilds or destroyed. 1 to 3 wilds can be revealed per cluster and up to 9 wilds.

Avalanche – An avalanche will occur destroying 2 symbol types and repositing up to 7 wilds in place.

Blizzard – 7 symbols on the pattern are selected. Most symbols are destroyed and some symbols are transformed into wilds. Up to 5 wilds can be transformed.

Winning symbols fill the ‘Ice Crystal Charger’. Collecting 20, 40, 60, and 80 winning symbols will activate the ‘Ice Crystal features’. The Ice Crystal Charger can be overcharged every additional 10 charges after 80 overcharges the meter and adding an additional 2 Ice Frames.

Conclusion

Overall, I think this slot is a fun grid game creation with a variety of features and mechanics. Including a max win capped at 6,000x and 3 Freezing Features plus an Ice Crystal Charger. Be sure to try out the game for yourself on release and check out our exclusive casino offers.
