Nephthy’s Temple (Bullshark Games) – Slot Review
Nephthy’s Temple by Bullshark Games draws inspiration from Ancient Egyptian mythology, immersing players in a mysterious world of sacred temples, colourful gemstones and powerful deities. Centred on Nephthys, the Egyptian goddess associated with protection and the afterlife, the game creates an atmospheric setting rich in ancient symbolism.
The visuals combine vibrant gem symbols with Egyptian-inspired imagery, including Ankhs, Snakes, Books and a Pharaoh. The mystical theme continues into the Nephthys’ Blessing Free Spins feature, where Grid Boosters, multiplier Wilds and a colossal 3×3 Big Wild introduce increasingly powerful gameplay elements. Overall, Nephthy’s Temple combines a familiar Egyptian setting with modern visuals and feature-driven mechanics. While the theme is well established within the slot genre, its symbol-collection system and progressively powerful boosters add variety to the experience.
Nephthy’s Temple features a 6-reel, 6-row layout with Cluster Pays, awarding wins for clusters of five or more matching symbols. The game has high volatility, an RTP of 94.24% and a maximum win of 10,000x your bet. Wagers range from £0.10 to £100.
Nephthy’s Temple Symbols & Pay Table
There are 10 symbols in total, including five low-paying symbols represented by Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple and Red Gems. The four premium symbols feature Books, Ankhs, Snakes and a Pharaoh. The remaining symbol is the Wild, which substitutes for all regular symbols. The Pharaoh is the highest-paying premium symbol, awarding 100x your bet for a winning cluster containing 15 or more matching symbols.
Nephthy’s Temple Features & Mechanics
Collect Winning Symbols
Winning symbols are counted towards the Feature Bar as they are removed from the grid. Filling the bar unlocks Grid Boosters or triggers the Free Spins feature.
Grid Boosters are awarded at the following collection milestones:
- 10 symbols: First Grid Booster.
- 20 symbols: Second Grid Booster.
- 30 symbols: Third Grid Booster.
- 40 symbols: Triggers the Free Spins feature.
Each Grid Booster is randomly selected from three available options, with each feature awarded only once per spin. Symbol collection resets at the start of every new spin.
Grid Booster Features
Colossal
When awarded, Colossal adds between one and three oversized symbols to the grid, each occupying a 2×2 area. Any paying symbol can be selected, and multiple symbols added during the same activation may differ.
Replace
Replace selects between six and ten random positions on the grid and transforms them into the same randomly chosen paying symbol.
Wild Symbol
This booster adds between three and six Wild symbols to random positions on the grid. Wilds substitute for any paying symbol and may carry multipliers of x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x25, x50 or x100.
When a multiplier Wild lands on a symbol that already has a multiplier, the values are added together. If multiple multiplier Wilds contribute to the same win, their multipliers are also added together before being applied to the pay out.
Nephthys’ Blessing – Free Spins
Collecting 40 winning symbols during a single spin triggers the Free Spins feature. Four Grid Boosters are guaranteed during the bonus, with the following features awarded one by one in random order:
- Colossal
- Replace
- Wild Symbol
- Surge
At the end of the Free Spins feature, there is a random chance to trigger one additional free spin.
Surge
Surge is available exclusively during the Free Spins feature. When activated, it adds between five and ten random multipliers to symbols across the grid. Available values are x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x25, x50 and x100. If a selected symbol already carries a multiplier, the new value is added to its existing multiplier.
After the multipliers are placed, all multiplier-bearing symbols and Wilds remain in position, while all other symbols are removed and replaced by new symbols. Multipliers stay attached to their symbols as they cascade down the grid.
When a symbol carrying a multiplier contributes to a win, its multiplier is applied to that payout. If multiple multipliers contribute to the same win, their values are added together before being applied.
Nephthys – Big Wild Feature
During Free Spins, winning symbols continue to be collected towards the Feature Bar. Collecting 100 symbols during the bonus awards a 3×3 Big Wild.
Once all four other Grid Boosters have been applied, the Big Wild is placed in a random position on the grid. All multipliers attached to symbols beneath the Big Wild are added together and applied to it.
After contributing to a win, the Big Wild splits into five individual Wild symbols carrying the same multiplier, which are placed in random positions across the grid.
When the Big Wild feature is triggered, winning-symbol collection resets. All positions covered by the Big Wild count as Wild symbols, which substitute for any paying symbol.
Conclusion
Overall, Nephthy’s Temple by Bullshark Games combines its Ancient Egyptian theme with feature-driven gameplay centred on symbol collection, Grid Boosters and multiplier Wilds. The Colossal and Replace features add variety to the base game, while Nephthys’ Blessing introduces four guaranteed boosters during Free Spins, culminating in the powerful 3×3 Big Wild feature.
