Pillars Of Asgard Slot Review – NextGen Gaming

It has been a very long time since I reviewed a NextGen Gaming game release. The last game I reviewed by the studio is ‘300 Shields Extreme’, which is a fantastic re-release with updated visuals and new feature additions. The provider is well known for some of the classics such as Foxin Twins, The Mask, and many others. With 2020 coming up very soon there have been some announcements for new games coming and some providers have released their last game for 2019. NextGen Gaming has just released its new game which could be their last this year. This new game is titled ‘Pillars Of Asgard’, which is available to play across sites now.

As stated in the game name, this game has a theme based on Asgard. Marvel fans just think of the likes of the Thor storyline. However, Asgard is a location associated with the gods. There are many different games based around Asgard and the many gods in the industry. The visuals for this game are very well made. In the background are fluffy white clouds with a beautiful structure around the reel set. The artwork goes very well with the set theme and visuals have no faults.

Pillars Of Asgard has a setup of 6 reels by 4 rows, this includes 4096 – 1,000,000 betways. This game is high variance with a set RTP of 96.295% and max win over 10,000x. You can bet from £0.25 – £50.

Pillars Of Asgard Slot Review Symbols & Paytable

This game has 12 symbols in total, this includes 6 low paying symbols. These are represented by 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by green, blue, purple and golden designs. In addition to these paying symbols, there is a wild symbol and scatter. The wild substitutes for all symbols except the scatter. The highest paying symbol is the wild symbol, which pays 250x for 6 across all reels.

Pillars Of Asgard Slot Review Features

This game is full of features, the first is the ‘Wild Multiplier feature’. When 1 or more Odin wilds land and is part of a win. A random multiplier is added to the total win. The more Odin symbols that are on the reel set the greater the multiplier can be. The multiplier is x2 – x10 depending on the number of Odin symbols.

Central to this game is the free spins feature. This is activated when you land 3 or more scatter symbols. You will be awarded 20 free spins, additional rows can be added depending on how many scatters land to activate the feature. These additional rows increase the starting ways.

  • 3 Scatters = 1 row and 15,625 ways to win.
  • 4 Scatters = 2 rows and 46,625 ways to win.
  • 5 Scatters = 3 rows and 117,649 ways to win.
  • 6 Scatters = 4 rows and 262,144 ways to win.

When an additional scatter lands during the spins, an extra symbol is added to that reel. This up to a maximum of 10 symbols per reel. If all reels have the max of 10 symbols, it will hit max ways which are 1,000,000. For each reel that is maxed out, you are awarded 5 extra spins and scatter symbols will be turned into wilds for the rest of the feature. When all reels are maxed a full stack of wilds will move between the reels each spin.

Conclusion

Overall, this game shows great potential paired with fun gameplay. I had a lot of fun trying out this new game, there are some great features and high potential thanks to the max win/RTP. I think NextGen Gaming did a great job. Be sure to try the game for yourself and check out our exclusive casino offers.
