Pirates 2: Mutiny Slot Review – Yggdrasil Gaming
Yggdrasil Gaming had a fantastic 2019, with many successful slots and new game releases per month. One of my favourites from 2019 was ‘Wolf Hunters’, which had fantastic gameplay with high potential on offer. This year Yggdrasil have already begun releasing multiple games in the past months, but none have stood out to me yet. However, an exclusive slot has just been released by the studio. This new slot is titled ‘Pirates 2: Mutiny’, available to play now exclusively on Leo Vegas.
As stated in the slot title, this game is based around a Pirate theme. Which seems to be a very popular choice this year in the casino industry. The background is a deserted island, with a shipwreck in the sea near the beaches of the island. The reel set has a border of the wrecked ship, parts of the ship are floating in the water along with a crab holding a sword in a small animation. The visuals are well made, with impressive detail and an art style I personally love.

This game has 13 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by diamonds, clubs, spades and hearts. There are also 4 middle tier symbols, these are represented by hook hands, bottles, swords and guns. Lastly, there are 4 premium symbols, these are represented by a blue-haired female pirate, green scarfed male pirate, purple hat pirate and red-haired female pirate characters. In addition to these regular paying symbols is a key scatter. Symbol wins occur when 6+ adjacent symbols are in a cluster, compared to win lines. The highest paying symbol is the red-haired pirate premium, which pays 25x.
Pirates 2: Mutiny Features
There are many mini-features and a main free spins included in this game. The first is ‘Dropdown Wins‘, trigger this by landing 6+ adjacent symbols. All non-winning symbols are then removed and the winning symbols dropdown. New symbols will fall into empty positions. If two or more clusters are present, then the cluster with lower-paying symbols are transformed into a higher paying symbol.
The second feature is ‘Tsunami’, which can be triggered during a dropdown if no new winning symbols land. The wave will rearrange the winning symbols ensuring the highest multiplier and will trigger another dropdown.
The third is a ‘Multiplier‘, fill the bottom two rows and a multiplier is awarded. The multiplier resets at the end of each spin.
The fourth is ‘Mutiny Symbol‘, which is a mystery 3×3 special symbol which lands randomly and will always reveal high symbols.
The fifth is ‘Cannon Blast‘, which removes all low paying symbols on a losing spin.
The final and central feature for this slot is the ‘Free Spins’. This is activated when you land 3 key scatters, which will award 7 Free Spins. 1 high paying symbol is chosen at random to replace all high paying symbols for each session. Multipliers will not reset until the end of the feature.
Conclusion
