Rhino Rampage Slot Review – Blueprint Gaming

Blueprint Gaming had a phenomenally successful 2019 thanks to so many successful slot releases. It looks like it may be the same for the year 2020, with multiple popular games already and it’s only May. One recent success is ‘Gorilla Gold Megaways’, which allows 4 reel sets in play per spin and high volatility within this unique gameplay experience. The most recent slot I have reviewed by the studio is ‘Revolution Patriots Fortune’, which shows us simple features and a popular theme. Next from the studio is a slot with another familiar theme, titled ‘Rhino Rampage’ available to play now across all sites.

Rhino Rampage has an African safari theme, with a beautiful sunset in the background and tall trees in the landscape. Different safari animals appear as premium symbols, with the rhino as the highest paying and centre of attention for the theme. One slot this does remind me of is Raging Rhino, with the same theme and Rhinos as the star of the show. However, both show different visuals and art work. Overall, I think the visuals could be a lot better, but represent the theme well. Blueprint Gaming has shown us stunning visuals in the past, this time they are simplified.

This slot has a classic setup of 5 reels by 3 rows, this includes 25 set pay lines. Rhino Rampage is a high variance with a set RTP of 96.28% and max win capped at 25,000x. You can bet from £0..25 – £125.

Rhino Rampage Paytable & Symbols

There are 11 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by J, Q, K and A. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by meerkats, warthogs, hyenas and leopards. In addition to these regular symbols is a rhino wild, bonus scatter and moon scatter. Rhino wilds are stacked and substitute for all regular symbols. The scatter symbol only appears on reels 1, 3 and 5.

Rhino Rampage Features

There are a couple of mini-features to keep things interesting, the first is ‘Lightning Spins’, which can either be triggered in the base game when 6 moon scatters land during one spin. Or by landing a colossal moon symbol during the free spins feature. Once triggered you are awarded 3 lightning spins with only moon symbols present on reels. When a moon symbol lands during these spins, the spins will then reset back to 3. Moon symbols will reveal cash prizes or one of the 3 fixed jackpots, mini (30x), major (100x)  or Mega (500x).

The last feature is the ‘Free Spins’, triggered by landing 3 scatters during one spin. This will award 5 free spins, during spins reels 2,3 and 4 are merged for large colossal 3×3 symbols to appear. If a colossal scatter lands on this merged reel 3 additonal spins are awarded.

Conclusion

Overall, I think this slot is very simplified and shows nothing new to us. The bonus feature reminds me of Wolf Gold by Pragmatic Play unfortunately and also used in a previous Blueprint Gaming slot release. I hope something exciting is in the works by the studio.
