The Dog House Slot Review – Pragmatic Play
Today we are looking back to 2019 to learn all about a popular Pragmatic Play slot release. Which is also available in a new Megaways version in a recent rerelease. These games are some of the studios most played for 2020 so far. I have also reviewed the studio’s recent announcements, such as ‘Christmas Carol Megaways‘ and ‘Spartan King‘. Today we are learning all about ‘The Dog House‘, originally released 5th March 2019.
This slot is set in a pleasant neighbourhood with houses in the background. Including animations such as butterflies, flowers moving in the wind. The artwork has bright colours and simple details. With different dog breeds as premium symbols. The reel set is in the shape of a wooden dog house with flowers on each corner. Overall this game has simple but colourful visual aspects to catch your eye.
The Dog House has a classic setup of 5 reels by 3 rows, this includes 20 set pay lines. This slot is high variance with a set RTP of 96.51% and max win capped at 6,750x. You can bet from £0.20 – £100.
The Dog House Pay Table & Symbols
This slot has 13 symbols in total which include 5 low paying symbols. There are represented by 10, J, Q, K, and A. There are also 5 high paying symbols represented by bones, collars, and 4 different dog breeds. The most top paying logo is the blue background dog symbol paying 37.5x for 5 across a pay line. There’s also a red paw scatter symbol to unlock the free spins feature and a dog house wild which substitutes for all symbols except the scatter. All wilds have multipliers on reels 2-4 in both base game and free spins.
The Dog House Features
To activate free spins you need 3 scatters to land on reels 1, 3, and 5. Doing so will award 5X. You will be assigned a random number of spins shown from the animation before starting, during spins any wilds that land on reels 2-4 will remain sticky for the whole duration of spins. The wilds will come with a random multiplier depending on what reel they land on. For example, if a wild lands on reel 2 it will be 2x and so on. This feature cannot be retriggered as scatter symbols are removed from reels. The bonus is really volatile especially if you get a high number of spins. The sticky wilds are an excellent benefit for symbol line ups, and once you get the right amount on reels, the wins can be insane.
Overall, I think Pragmatic Play has done a fantastic job creating this game concept. With a Megaways version already available after a year since the original. There is a medium variance on offer with a max win of 6,750x and multipliers within the free spins feature. Be sure to try out the slot for yourself if you haven’t already.
