Tome Of Madness Slot Review – Play’n Go
Play’n Go has so many games lined up ready for summer 2019, but not all so far will be successful as there will always be fails from any provider in the casino industry. I recently reviewed ‘Wild Rails‘, which really impressed me and showed the provider can still produce unique games. The provider has announced a new game titled ‘ Tome Of Madness‘, which is set to release ‘27th June‘.
This slot is based around character ‘Rich Wilde’, which most of you will recognise from popular game ‘Book Of Dead‘. Book Of Dead is Play’n Go’s most successful slot release to date, this game is still rated top 10-on slot catalog and still loved by the casino community. This game was originally released in 2016, yet just as accessible 3 years later. But now Play’n Go are using the character from their previous success in their new release. Tome Of Madness is based in a fictional universe and has exciting artwork designs. Visuals this game impresses and the Play’n Go art team have shown their creativity and talent.
The slot setup is 5 reels by 5 rows, this includes no pay lines as symbol wins are formed from clusters of 4+ matching symbols. This game is low – medium variance due to the max win being capped at 2,000x and the set RTP of 96.59%. You can bet from £0.10-£100.
Tome Of Madness Slot Review Symbols & Paytable
This slot has 11 symbols in total; this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by 4 different coloured gems with different carvings on each. There are also 4 premium symbols; these are represented by skulls, rings, knives and a golden pendant. The highest paying symbol is the golden pendant which pays 100x for a cluster of 10+. There are also 3 different types of wilds; the first is a unique book wild which can trigger portal effects. The second wild is a rich wilde multiplier wild, this wild doubles all wins. The last wild is a mega wild, this wild moves down the grid to create rewarding Opportunites. All 3 wilds substitute for all paying symbols.
Tome Of Madness Slot Review Features
While spinning you may notice special symbol positions named ‘Eye Marks‘; if a win occurs in this area, you will be awarded 2 special wilds which will be added to the grid. In the bonus feature, these eye marks will summon mega wilds when activated.
At the top left of the slot, there is a portal meter, when you charge this meter up from symbol wins special wilds will be added to the grid. There are to different wild types; Abyss removes a row and collum. Void removes all of 1 symbol from the grid.
Central to this game is the bonus feature named ‘Other World Free Round,’ this is activated once you fill up the portal meter (42 winning symbols). Every 3 other winning symbols collected will award an additional portal effect, up to 7 can be obtained. 1 random portal effect is triggered when no more wins are created. This feature will end when all portal effects have been played out.
Overall, this game does show Play’n Go are testing new waters but this great game disappoints with a max win of 2,000x. There are so many different wild types which can be confusing, but overall this game plays excellent wish there was more on offer. Regardless, remember to check out the game on all good casinos when it releases. There is much fun to be had here!
And just one more comment. While not all of the PnG games this year have been awesome, remember to check out the stream on our Twitch. Tune in the mornings, request your favorite games, and have fun!
