Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Slot Review – BTG

The day has finally arrived, BTG has released a new slot! It is a rare occurrence as they do not publish very often but for good reasons. They always take their time to perfect their games and make sure the value is at its highest. We have seen screenshots, clips and a sneak peek, but now we have the chance to play the slot for ourselves. The slot is currently exclusive to LeoVegas. Hopefully, it will hit   Let’s go into the slots symbols, Free spins and the theme is, of course, the hit game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

The base game has six reels and up to 7 symbols as of the Megaways tool originally made by BTG and now being given to other providers through deals. The slot is very colourful with the Studio from the game show in the background and the logo colours for menus on the slot. There is not a buy a bonus feature which is very interesting as BTG first introduced this feature and are known by it well on games like Extra Chilli and White Rabbit.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Slot Review Symbols

Symbols have BTG’s usual style with gems as higher tier symbols and the highest as a purple diamond. The purple diamond pays 50x overall reels. For the lower tier, it is again the usual line up from BTG 10,9, and A’s, etc. with the usual colour scheme. You can always tell a slot is BTG from the distinctive symbol design. There is also a wild symbol which is a colourful question mark.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Slot Review Free Spins

To achieve free spins, you need 3 millionaire scatters to land in the base game, for eight free spins. Players get in the games hot seat with a big decision, you can take the 8 free spins or gamble for more spins. You can gamble up to 50 free spins! Very similar to the game show! If you hit a certain amount of spins you are guaranteed that amount even if you lose the next gamble to the next checkpoint of spins. You save at 10, 20 and 50 free spins. The first gamble of 8 can result in no bonus if you lose but if you win you get the safety amount of 10 free spins.

An In-Depth Look At The Free Spins

When free spins start you are given a lifeline to gamble for more turns, just like the show it will be phone a friend, ask the audience or 50-50. This is used on a question so for example if you got 50-50 two wrong answers would be taken off the board leaving one right, and one wrong answer left for a 50-50 chance of getting it right or wrong. You are given the advantage to help you choose the correct answer between A, B, C, and D. But with percentages, it doesn’t always help. It could be 81% of the audience say A but D with 3% could be the right answer, so you need to think carefully when picking. There is a spin between all three lifelines everytime you gamble up so pick wisely to get to the top especially with 50-50.

Once free spins start it plays just like previous slots such as Bonaza and Extra Chilli. How? Well, in the case of singular win on spins, the multiplier will increase by 1 x per win. Then a retrigger is possible in the reel at the bottom if 3 or 4 scatters are presented. This gives 4 extra spins for 3 scatters and 8 extra spins for 4 scatters.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Slot Review Conclusion

Overall I am disappointed in this slot, after the hype and excitement I was hoping for something new and ridiculous with RTP like with the Extra Chilli launch a while back. But the slot seems like a reskin of Chilli with the gamble feature and free spins being identical. They have made the slot feel like the game show in a way, but not used it in the features much. I feel there should have been a base game feature to improve the slot and maybe new free spins feature to show off the game show aspect more. But RTP wise it does pay due to Megaways, but then again, why not just go back to playing Bonanza and Chilli. I hope BTG takes some feedback on board for their next release.
