It has been a while since my last ELK Studios slot review, the last was for the game titled ‘Fate Of Fortune‘. Which has a max win capped at 10,000x and a big range of different features. Today we are learning all about ‘Zulu Gold’, set to release September 7th across all sites.

This slot is one of many now part of the well-known GOLD series by ELK Studios. The character Kane takes us on a brand new adventure, taking us this time to Southern Africa. He learns of a temple in the KwaZulu-Natal, where animals come to sacrifice gold to their gods. Visually this game is pleasing, with so much detail and the style looking similar to previous releases.

Zulu Gold Pay Table & Symbols

There are 14 symbols in total, this includes 4 low-paying symbols. These are represented by rocks carved with 4 different animals. There are also 4 mid-tier symbols, these are represented by green, blue, purple, and red carved blocks. Then finally there are 4 premium symbols, these are represented by buffalos, rhinos, elephants, and Kane. In addition to these regular symbols is a bonus scatter and wild symbol. The highest paying symbol is the Kane premium, which pays 5x for 6 across a pay line. Wilds substitute for all symbols except wilds.

Zulu Gold Features

The Wild Walker is a wild symbol that will move and leave a trail of wild symbols behind. This occurs between avalanches. Charged Wilds have extra lives and only disappear when it contributes to a win. Zulu stack is a symbol stack that can represent any symbol except the Wild Walker, charged wild and bonus scatter. There are super, mega, and epic symbols of 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4.

All symbols part of wins will explode and leave space for new symbols to fall in place. An additional row of symbols is added at the top of the reel set with a maximum of 8 rows. Avalanches continue until no new winning combinations occur.

Landing 3 or more scatters during a base game spin will trigger the bonus feature. 3, 4, 5, 6 scatters will award 10, 15, 20, and 25 Free Spins. During spins, there is a progressive multiplier that increases for each symbol win. The multiplier does not reset during spins. When 3 or more multiplier symbols are in view on the reel set, they will activate. Adding their multiplier value to the progressive one. Also during spins, the safety level advances one row for every new Free Drop.
