Black Mamba Slot Review – Play’n Go

We are reaching the end of 2019 now, which means Christmas slots will be released then 2020 starts. There have been some incredible and memorable releases this year. Not to mention the small number of fails and casino news.  One provider who has outdone themselves this year is ‘Play’n Go’. They have released a big number of games in 2019, including multiple each month. There are some memorable games such as ‘The Sword And The Grail’ and ‘Rise Of Merlin’. Now we have the last games of the year coming up. This included the provider’s Christmas slot for the year, which is titled ‘Xmas Magic’. This is not the best festive game, however, it does have a good bonus feature. Now we have a new game titled ‘Black Mamba’, which is set to release 14th November.

This game is based on a band named ‘Black Mamba’, who are active in 2010. They are an Italian rock band made up of 4 members. They are not known well in the UK, however, they have a small presence in other European countries. The game itself has a basic black and white background. The visuals seem very generic and safe for this game. The reel set takes up most of the screen, there are two speakers on the left side of the reel set and a member seen on the right side. Overall visuals are a bore to me.

Black Mamba has a setup of 5 reels by 5 rows, this includes no pay lines as pays are by clusters. This game is medium variance due to the max win capped at 5,000x and set RTP of 96.50%. You can bet from £0.20 – £100.

Black Mamba Slot Review Symbols & Paytable

This game has 9 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by microphones, headphones, gutair picks, and drumsticks. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by Alexandra, Fred, Cecilia, and Martina. Martina is an x2 wild which substitutes for all symbols. There is also a snake wild. The most valuable symbol is Martina, which pays 50x for 5 symbols.

Black Mamba Slot Review Features

In the base game/free spins feature you will benefit from each band member’s solo feature. Except for Martinas which only activates in concert and on every free spin. These features are randomly activated on every non-winning spin. The solo features which can be activated are;

  • Alexandra – Two sets of any symbol are destroyed.
  • Cecilia – Up to two wilds can appear.
  • Fred – One set of symbols transform into another symbol
  • Martina – Bottom row destroyed and a Martina symbol might be created.

You can also charge the meter with 4-6 symbols of Alexandra, Cecilia and Fred to start the concert. Members will take turns performing their solo features. This feature cannot be retriggered and the active band member will change after the feature. There is also an active multiplier which will increase by 1x for each cluster win. This multiplier will reset once no cluster win occurs. When wins occur a wild will appear in the middle of the symbol cluster. This wild will disappear when it is used in a win. Symbols will disappear from the grid when part of a win, new symbols will not fall into place.

Central to this game is the free spins feature. This is activated when you clear the whole grid (Excluding Wilds). This will award 8 free spins, during spins clearing the whole grid will award an instant 50x. During spins, the Concert feature can be activated. The multiplier will be carried over from the base game when you trigger this feature. The multiplier does not reset in this feature on non-winning spins. You also benefit from Martinas solo feature each spin.

Conclusion

Overall, this game has good gameplay. However, the theme is an odd choice by the provider. The max win is very generous and spins are very exciting. I enjoyed playing this game and testing the features. Be sure to try the game for yourself and check out our exclusive offers.
