There are 14 symbols in total, this includes 5 low-paying symbols. These are represented by 10, J, Q, K, and A. In addition to these regular symbols is a bonus scatter symbol, wild symbol, xBomb symbol, and xWays symbol. The highest paying symbol is yellow background character premium, which pays 20x for 6 across a pay line. Wilds substitute for all symbols except bonus symbols.
Das xBoot Features
xWays symbols appear on reels 2 and 5 only. This symbol will reveal a random regular symbol. The size of the xWays symbol ranges from 2-3 symbols. If one or more xWays symbols land on the reel set all xWays symbols will reveal the same symbol.
A 4-row high wild symbol will always nudge to be fully visible on the reel. Each nudge will increase the multiplier by 1x. This wild only appears on reels 3 and 4 except during the Silent Hunter Spins bonus. All multipliers add to each other and the win is awarded after multiplying with the total multiplier.
xBomb wilds substitute for all symbols except the bonus symbols. xBomb wilds explode all symbols not part of a winning combination except bonus and wild symbols. After this explosion remaining symbols fall to the bottom of the reel set and new symbols fall from the top to fill any spaces. xBomb symbols increase the win multiplier by 1x before the next collapse occurs. xBomb multipliers during feature triggers are carried into bonuses.
Silent Hunter Spins
Landing 3 bonus symbols during a base game spin will trigger the ‘Silent Hunter Spins‘ bonus feature. Awarding 8 Silent Hunter Free Spins, reel 3 increases to 8 positions, and a periscope wild symbol can land on this reel. If you land connecting symbols on reels 1 – 2 with a periscope wild on reel 3 a torpedo launch sequence is initiated. A target is found in the periscope and a torpedo is launched. If this hits the target the periscope wild grows to the top position on the reel and nudges down to the bottom awarding a win multiplier for each nudge. Every time the torpedo hits a target a sticky win multiplier is awarded and increases by 1x for remaining spins. When the target is missed the periscope wild is a regular single wild. Any additional scatter symbols that land award 2 extra spins.
Wolf Pack Spins
Landing 4 bonus symbols during a base game spin will trigger the ‘Wolf Pack Spins‘ bonus feature. Awarding 8 Wolf Pack Spins, a torpedo tube appears under reels 2 – 5 and wilds can land on these reels. On these reels, the torpedo wilds drop a +1 xWays symbol to the torpedo area, which becomes activated once the whole torpedo is filled. On reels 3 – 4 the torpedo wilds drop a +1 xWays wild symbol in the torpedo area again becoming active when the whole torpedo area is filled. When all torpedo parts are filled the torpedo launch sequence begins and xWays symbols are revealed. On reels 2 – 5 these are transformed to a regular symbol and split in the number of ways collected from the torpedo parts. On reels 3 – 4 they are transformed to a wild and split in the number of ways collected from the torpedo parts. Every time the torpedo is launched a sticky win multiplier is awarded and increases by 1x for remaining spins. Every time a xBomb symbol lands the win multiplier will increase by 1x. Any additional scatter symbols that land award 2 extra spins.
Conclusion
Overall, I think this slot is a very exciting release by the studio and perfect for players who love high variance games.
