Diamond Vortex Slot Review – Play’n Go

Play’n Go is still continuing with their 52 game releases for 2020, with us hitting slot release 29 so far. We are already over halfway into the year, which has flown by. With some games giving the studio success and some being forgotten about so quick by the casino community. The most recent game I reviewed is ‘Blinged’, which stuns with detailed visuals and fun gameplay. Today we learn all about the latest slot announcement ‘Diamond Vortex‘, set to release August 20th across all sites.

Diamond Vortex is another infamous grid creation, with a similar grid layout to ‘Honey Rush‘. The studio’s grid releases have been some of their most successful this year. Which means the studio is releasing more of them than usual, thanks to this current success. This game has very colourful visuals to catch the eye. With neon colours within the grid and a galaxy like a background. The main attraction is the action within the grid.

This slot has a grid setup of 7 reels by 7 rows, this includes cluster pays of 6 symbols or more. Diamond Vortex is a medium variance game with a set RTP of 96.2% and max win capped at 5,000x. You can bet from £0.20 – £100.

There are 9 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by yellow, blue, green and red shaped stones. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by yellow, blue, green and red gems. In addition to these regular symbols is a bonus scatter and wild. Wilds can be sticky or core wilds. The highest paying symbol is the red gem, which pays up to 100x for clusters of 35+. Wilds substitute for all symbols except scatters. Core wilds permanently in the centre of the grid, sticky wilds are added during any cascade.

Diamond Vortex Slot Review Features

There are 3 concentric rings, each containing either a Spot Or Zone. These Zones are fixed in place at the top and spots at the bottom. Then rotate as wins occur until they reach the Zone.

With every win, the ‘Rotate‘ feature is triggered. Moving the Innermost ring clockwise, centre ring anti-clockwise and the outer ring clockwise. Then non-winning symbols will move with these rings until new symbols fall in place to replace.

Another feature is ‘Consume Feature‘, triggered when a sticky wild is on a core wild. The win multiplier is increased by 1x for each Consumed sticky wild, with a maximum of 20x. This multiplier is only applied to wins involving the core wild. Multiplier resets when a new spin occurs.

Now onto the ‘Transform Feature‘, triggered when a spot hits the zone. Transforming all symbols on the ring to the same matching symbol. Spots return to the top once a new spin occurs.

Lastly the centre of features it the ‘Free Spins‘ feature, triggered when a bonus scatter is rotated into the zone. This will award 5 free spins, during spins spots do not reset in between spins and the wild multiplier also does not reset. If a scatter reaches the zone during spins, +5 additional spins are awarded.

Conclusion

Overall, I think Play’n Go has seen the big Success of older release Honey Rush and took the same concept but changed some elements. The game does play well, but features are confusing at first. With a max win of 5,000x on offer and fun gameplay. Be sure to try the game for yourself on release. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive casino offers.
