In January 2023, the popular streaming platform Twitch.com faced fresh competition with the launch of Kick.com. Kick.com is backed by Eddie Craven, the owner of the well-known casino Stake.com, and heavily endorsed by casino streamer Trainwreck, who is likely a co-owner. The platform aims to challenge Twitch.com’s guidelines and provide more support to streamers. With a 95/5 split for subscription revenue in favour of content creators, compared to Twitch’s 50/50 split, Kick.com has attracted several streamers to make the switch.

While both streaming platforms share a similar appearance, Kick.com offers additional benefits, such as HD-quality streams, enhanced chat functions, and ongoing improvements as the platform develops. The mobile app has been released, and more features are expected to roll out this year. Moreover, Kick.com has partnered with the Alfa Romeo F1 Team.
