NetEnt’s Swipe&Roll slot review
NetEnt’s Swipe&Roll slot review- NetEnt has made some big announcements with upcoming slots like BerryBurst and the new MAX feature. But now they have announced an old school vintage slot which is a very interesting release from them.
The slot is called ‘Swipe&Roll’ and is being released on all sites 7th August. NetEnt has released youtube videos showing off the slot and its features but has received a lot of hate with a lot of dislikes. But with all the slots they have announced this slot seems like a disappointment from just simply watching the announcement videos.
The slots theme is retro and old school. But it looks very boring with the artwork and lack of colour. The sound effects do really reflect the theme well but not many people want to play old slots. A lot of the newer releases from providers seem to have more potential and many improvements with gameplay to make it more enjoyable for players. Technology over the years has helped providers be more creative and have no boundaries with what they can release, but NetEnt seems to still want to be retro in the 21st century which doesn’t make sense. The slot looks ‘cool’ but basic overall. With an RTP of 96.35% we are hoping the payout makes up for its looks.
Symbols
The symbols are also very retro. There are 5 symbols in this game excluding scatters etc. The 3 lower tier symbols are A.K and Q. For higher tier, there are 3 fruit related symbols which are a watermelon, a plum, and orange. Nothing original really but it is a retro slot.
There are also two different wilds in this slot. There is your standard wild found in many slots and there is a multiplier wild such as x2,x3. The wilds come with a feature in the base game if 3 or more land in a spin in the base game a respin is activated. The wilds that originally landed will stay in place and you have the chance for more to roll in. This could create some nice base game hits if you manage to get some premiums lined up o even good multipliers on the wilds.
There is also a scatter symbol which is for the bonus game. You need 3 scatters but on reels 2,3 and 4. The scatter symbol is a bell.
Coin Wheel Feature
So this is a random feature in the base game. The wheel will then spin and you can win 3 different prizes. The arrow symbol will expand the winning area so more will be lit up for even more prizes. can be either 1 up or down.
You can also win basic random coin values, but if you win less than 5x of your bet size you are granted a respin which makes up for low prizes. Minimum coin size is 100 and the highest is 1080, of course, it will depend on your bet size what value the coins are.
If you land the bell scatter in the wheel you unlock the free spins but do not get a respin in the wheel.
Bonus Game
if you land 3 scatters in the base game on reels 2.3 and 4 you unlock the free spins feature. You need to swipe/ spin 3 different wheels either up or down one by one. The wheels have coin values and arrows like the coin wheel feature. But if you land an arrow it will expand all 3 wheels (light up more of the screen) for even more possibility of coin values to add up. This will continue until there are no more arrow symbols present on any of the wheels. It seems to have some potential but overall I would say low- medium volatility.
So this slot can seem to pay, it has some interesting features in the base game and the bonus. Plus takes you down memory lane if you have been playing casino for some time.
Overall;
Gameplay- 3/5
Volatility- 3/5
bonus game- 3/5
