There are 11 symbols in total; this includes 5 low-paying symbols. These are represented by 10, J, Q, K and A. There are also 4 premium symbols; these are represented by Eels, Lanternfish, Pufferfish and Sharks. In addition to these regular symbols is a golden Octopus Scatter and Octopus Wild symbol. The highest paying symbol is the Shark Premium, which pays 10x for 5 across a pay line. Wilds substitute for all symbols except the scatter and appears on all reels.
Release The Kraken 2 Features
During base game spins, there is a chance that one of the following features will trigger;
Wild Respin
If 4 or more Wild Symbols land, the Free Respin Mode will be triggered. The Wilds remain on the screen and move to a random grid position; other symbols will respin. If more Wilds land, another respin is awarded, and this continues until no new Wilds land after a respin.
Shifting Stacked Wilds
A special Shifting Stacked Wild can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. When this special wild stops, the Shifting Stacked Wilds are moved fully onto the reel. For each position moved, a multiplier is increased by 1x for each Shifting Stacked Wild.
Guaranteed Win
On any spin that results in no win, the Kraken can come onto the screen and change the symbols to an outcome of 20x to 50x. Randomly after a spin, 3 Bonus Symbols can appear on the screen, which will award the Free Spins Feature.
Free Spins
Landing 3 or more scatters during a base game spin will trigger the Free Spins feature. Before the feature starts, you have the option to play a Mini Bonus Game to win a combination of Free Spins and a Multiplier. The number of Scatters from the initial trigger will determine the possible number of Free Spins and Multiplier. 3 Scatters can award 4 Free Spins to 15 Free Spins and a Multiplier up to 6x. 4 Scatters can award 5 Free Spins to 20 Free Spins and a Multiplier up to 10x, and 5 Scatters can award 6 Free Spins to 20 Free Spins and a Multiplier up to 10x.
16 Boxes are shown on the screen, with each containing a randomised combination. You can open this box to reveal the result and play with the number of spins and multiplier. Or you can reject this offer and instead remove chests and combinations from the pool manually in groups of 4, 4, 3 and 3 picks. A new offer is based on the average in the remaining chests. This process will continue until an offer is accepted or only one chest remains.
During Free Spins, any wins are multiplied by the multiplier awarded in the Mini Bonus Game. Spins are played with 40 Pay lines instead of 20 Pay lines. Any Wilds that land will also remain on the reel set until the end of this feature. These Wilds will move to a new random reel position on every Free Spin.
