Rise Of Olympus Slot Review – Play’n Go

I am still reviewing underrated and forgotten Play’n Go slot releases, with ‘Street Magic‘ as the most recent review. I have also been reviewing all-new studio game announcements such as ‘Madame Ink‘, which surprised me with unique visuals and gameplay. Today we are going back to 2018 to learn all about ‘Rise Of Olympus‘, which was originally released 23rd August 2018.

This slot has identical mechanics and layout to Moon Princess, with a new greek mythology theme. With the slot background set in 3 different backgrounds depending on which god appears on the right side of the reel set. These 3 gods are Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. The greek mythology theme is one of the most sued within the casino industry these days.

Rise Of The Olympus has a setup of 5 reels by 5 rows, this includes cluster pays of 3 matching symbols or more. This slot is medium variance with a set RTP of 96.5% and max win capped at 2,500x. You can bet from £0.20 – £100.

Rise Of Olympus Pay Table & Symbols

There are 8 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by blue lightning bolts, green tridents, red helmets, and golden harps. There are also 3 premium symbols, these are represented by Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. In addition to these regular symbols is a pegasus wild, which substitutes for all symbols. The highest paying symbol is the pegasus wild, which pays 50x for 5 across a pay line.

Rise Of Olympus Features

This feature will randomly trigger a ‘non-winning‘ spin in the base game. One of the three gods will appear and use his special ability/ feature.

Hades- Will transform one set of symbols to another symbol.

PoseidonAdds two Wilds randomly onto the grid.

ZeusTwo sets of symbols are removed from the grid.

This feature is triggered when the meter is fully charged on the bottom left of the screen. You fully fill it up by landing a 5 of a kind win with any of the god symbols lined up. When you fill the bar the game will spin, then one by one the god will use his ability giving you a better chance at clearing the board for the free spins or even a big win possibly.

So after clearing the grid, you are given a choice of three different options for the free spins;

Hades –  4 free spins, recharge= 4 more free spins aka Love

Poseidon – 5 free spins, recharge= 3 more free spins aka Star

Zeus8 free spins, recharge= 2 more free spins aka Storm

On each non-winning spin in each of the bonuses, the god will activate his ability. If you manage to fill up the meter in the bonus you will be awarded the recharge extra spins, which can happen multiple times but you are capped at 20 spins. In the free spins, the multiplier will not reset between spins like in the base game. But the multiplier is capped at 20x. Its a shame both the free spins and multipliers are both capped at 20. But the bonus does have potential in all 3 options.

Conclusion

Overall, I think Play’n Go re-released this slot idea with the new greek mythology theme because the moon princess theme was not for everyone. I love this concept thanks to the variety of features to keep the gameplay fun. Be sure to try out the slot for yourself if you haven’t already. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive casino offers.
