ShowDown Saloon – Fortune Factory Studios (Microgaming)
Microgaming has been showcasing new providers in the making for a long time now, some have a one hit slot, but some are becoming something big in the industry. Fortune Factory Studios has made one slot that does sound familiar to me, ‘Romanov Riches’ which is a fun, colourful slot. But they have announced a new slot that has just been released on sites. It is called ‘Showdown Saloon,’ and it reminds me a lot of Play n Go’s new release Gunslinger Reloaded. Regardless, let’s find out more in our Showdown Saloon slot review!
It has a cowboy/western theme which is, unfortunately, a common one. The slot has free spins, respin feature and mystery stacks. It seems the max win on this slot is 1500x which is just very low compared to other slots. The slot itself looks very dull; the graphics do not help that aspect as they are poor quality. But this may be due to the provider being a smaller studio, but let’s go into the slots features and free spins;
ShowDown Saloon Slot Review Base Game Features
One feature in the base game is called ‘Mystery Stacks‘ when the mystery symbols land on reels they will all turn into a randomized symbol. The symbols can turn into free spins to trigger the bonus feature. Fundamental feature but gives a second chance at the free spins which is handy.
The second base game feature is a respin feature, landing full stacks of a symbol will trigger this feature. This must be on 2-4 reels and be adjacent to each other to trigger. The reels that trigger the feature will lock in place for the respin if you land another stack another respin will occur. If a mystery stack lands during these it will turn into the stacked symbol. Another basic feature but can pay if you manage to get stacks of high paying symbols.
ShowDown Saloon Slot Review Symbols And Paytable
The game has four low paying symbols; these are 10, J, Q, K, and A. They are represented in a standard font and different colour for each. Then four high paying symbols, these are a dice, whiskey bottle, poker chips, and a gun. The highest paying symbol is the wild paying 100x overall five reels. There is also a free spins feature which is stacked on reels.
ShowDown Saloon Slot Review Free Spins Feature
To activate the free spins you need three stacks or more of the free spins feature to land on reels 1-3 then 4-5 for extra spins. 3 scatters = 5 free spins , 4 scatters = 10 free spins and 5 scatters = 15 free spins. The spins have nothing extra to offer; they are just free spins with no extra features which are a big disappointment. Plus for me, it was challenging to land the spins.
ShowDown Saloon Slot Review Conclusion
Overall, this slot was a big fail in my opinion. There was so much potential to improve the slots aspects and even the dull graphics. The graphics for the respin feature stand out to me, but that’s the only aspect. The free spins are boring and difficult to land, and the max win is very low. Hopefully, they improve in their next release, but this slot is a pass for me. Regardless, if you want to check it out, take a look at one of our casino offers.
