Steam Tower Slot Review – NetEnt
We again go back in time to the old slot releases, when the industry was so different and studios were on the rise. NetEnt is known for so many of their older successful releases, with some new releases now well known. I created my personal top 5 releases, from a list of over 300 games. This list was based on the innovation and success of these games. However, one game I did not include on the list is ‘Steam Tower‘, which is a personal favourite. Steam Tower was originally released 23rd February 2015.
Steam Tower has a steampunk theme, with the main character on a mission. The top-hat hero wants to climb a tower to rescue a princess held prisoner by an evil dragon. The hero is on the left side of the reel set, with a city in the distance and some simple animations. The top hat hero moves and smoke was seen coming out of a machine behind the reel set. The visuals were unique at the time of release and impressive by the studio.
This game has a classic setup of 5 reels by 3 rows, this includes 15 set pay lines. Steam Tower is a low – medium variance slot due to the set RTP of 97% and max win capped at 2,000x. You can bet from £0.15 – £150.
Steam Tower Slot Review Pay Table & Symbols
There are 10 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols. These are represented by J, Q, K and A. There are also 4 premium symbols, these are represented by towers, the princess, the top hat hero and dragons. In addition to these regular symbols is a grapnel wild and stacked wild / scatter. Wilds substitute for all symbols. The highest paying symbol is the dragon premium.
Steam Tower Slot Review Features
Central to Steamtower is the ‘Free Spins‘ feature, triggered by landing one stacked wild fully on any reel. This will award 10 Free Spins, stacked wilds are not active and singular wilds award 2 extra spins during spins. Only 2 extra spins can be awarded per spin. Landing these wilds will also ascend you to the next floor on the tower, up to 16 the top floor. Reaching the top floor awards an instant 100x. There are also multipliers active for each floor. Floors 1-3 = x2, Floors 4-6 = x3, Floors 7-9 = x4, Floors 10 – 12 = x5, Floors 12-15 = x6 and Floor 16 = x7.
Conclusion
Overall, I think Steam Tower is a great slot pick even after 5 years. With simple features and a fun theme pick. It is still popular within the industry and special. Be sure to try the game for yourself if you haven’t already. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive casino offers.
