The slot has a mythology theme set in the frozen Viking north, Mythology slots are just so saturated now. I wish new unique themes would be used but this doesn’t mean the slot cannot pay well. The slot has impressive high detailed graphics. It also has a nice chill soundtrack in the background. But slot sounds like wins etc overpower the soundtrack often. The background is very simple artwork but the slot runs very smooth with no problems. So overall the slot is well made by Red Tiger.

In the base game, two features can occur randomly on any spin, the first is called ‘Lightning‘. Thor may summon lightning to remove all low paying symbols or turn random symbols into the same symbol or even into wilds.
The second base game feature is called ‘Hammer‘, Thor may throw his hammer to remove symbols or nudge reels and rows to reveal wins.

The slot has 9 symbols in total, this includes 4 low paying symbols which are represented by different mythological writing, all have a stone background with different coloured font text. There are also 4 high paying symbols which are represented by 2 animal masks, mythological tree symbol and a golden thor hammer. The highest paying symbol is the golden hammer which pays 500x for 40+ in a cluster. There is also a wild symbol which can appear on reels normally or through the lightning feature. The free spins symbols in the middle also appear and will turn gold when part of a cluster.

Surrounding winning clusters will turn the free spins symbols gold from grey when all of them have turned golden this will activate one of two free spins features. The free spins symbols must all be turned within one spin, any progress made within one spin will be lost when no more clusters land and it spins again;
- Muspell Spins – Free spins with only high paying symbols on reels, the lava feature can destroy symbols or add one type of symbol on reels. The lava can also add wilds.
- Valhalla Spins – Free spins with golden shields only, the golden shields will lock and reveal stake multipliers when free spins end. All is then counted up for a total win.
When both these bonus features trigger you are given a random number of spins, the middle free spins symbols are also removed so the reel set is bigger. Both bonus features can pay very well but Muspell free spins seem to be more volatile and more entertaining. The Valhalla spins are very boring and not very volatile, you are just hoping for some multipliers to land during spins so nothing else occurs. The multipliers are normally low like 1x-3x which is disappointing.

Overall, this slot is very well made by Red Tiger but isn’t very volatile. The max win is capped at 1800x and only rated 3/5 for volatility by the provider themselves. So the slot lacks win potential, it is a very fun game to play and has some great features. With a little bit more volatility, it could be even greater.
